OK, Zimbabwe (OKZ) has been struggling over the last year, but as I discussed in my previous post, their most recent results could be a sign of improvement, however, it will take another quarter to know for sure.
Brilliant piece. The strategic partnership was that Shoprite has always offered a line of credit to OK Zimbabwe. The credit was usually in the form of shop merchandise.
It sounds like a pretty straightforward arrangement. I wonder why they talked about it in the Q3 report then especially for a long standing arrangement.
That's why I thought maybe it was a little more than the norm.
Quite informative. The retail space in Zimbabwe has become quite congested due to glaring corruption at the border. However, it's inevitable that legitimately operating retailers will pressure government into better regulatory enforcement. Once that happens I think it'll be up and up for major retailers.
