Welcome to Money & Moves
Hi, I'm Tinashe Mukogo—a finance and strategy professional with over 18 years of experience and the publisher of Money & Moves.
Here is a little bit about me.
My journey began at Deloitte, where I trained as a Chartered Accountant and qualified in 2012; this was my introduction to finance, where I worked closely with CFOs across a broad range of industries.
I left Deloitte to attend business school at INSEAD, ranked as one of the three best business schools in the world. At INSEAD, I focused my studies on Advanced Corporate Finance and Technology and Innovation Strategy.
Fortunately, after business school, I had a path to apply what I had learned at INSEAD. I was one of eight associates globally selected to join the Siemens Finance Excellence Program, where I worked under Siemens Group CFO Dr. Ralph Thomas.
At Siemens, I worked across Germany, South Africa, and the USA, engaging with diverse sectors from Venture Capital to Healthcare and Energy.
As the program prepared me to be a global CFO of a large company, I was exposed to all facets of finance and business, including financial analysis, corporate finance, strategic planning, M&A, investor relations, manufacturing, supply chain management, and border technology trends.
In my last role at Siemens, I oversaw a new function, Contract Management, which focused on improving the profitability of our most significant contracts across 20+ countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Today, I leverage this extensive background as an independent consultant, helping C-suite executives navigate strategic financial decisions, from mergers and acquisitions to asset sales to capital allocation decisions.
In addition, I am building a financial media business, with Money & Moves as the first media property. This is my real passion, even more than consulting.
With Money & Moves, I aspire to provide you with the most well-researched, data-based analysis of companies you care about.
By reading Money & Moves, I want you to be ahead of the rest in understanding how the market is moving so you can make better business and investment decisions whilst also learning about finance.
You can connect with me on X (formerly Twitter) or LinkedIn or reply to one of the Money & Moves emails.
Thank you and best wishes,
Tinashe
