Did I miss talk of volumes?

Hi Patrick, good point. I did not mention volumes, in part because the broader discussion online didn't touch much on that.

For Delta, volume growth was another clear measure of growth, which was around 15% if I recall correctly.

This is what we call an illusion of growth

Zimbabwean Economy: Separating Fact from Fiction 📊

Regarding Delta's performance, their >20% nominal growth in USD terms is no small feat, especially considering their product isn't exactly a staple. This suggests people have disposable income to spend on non-essentials, and they're doing so in an environment where purchasing power is, let's say, being "challenged". With 92% of their sales being USD-denominated, their growth is even more impressive.

This begs the question: where is this growth coming from? Is it real estate driving the booze sales? 🤔 Whatever it is, it's clear their company is growing at a solid rate, just as the economy and that's something to toast to! 🥂

Maybe someone get me a job @ shake shake building! Jokes 😅😅😅

Jokes aside (or are they?), I've been saying it for a while now to most of my friends – our economy is doing more than just surviving, it's thriving if you are willing to look beyond the bad state ofbjust about everything public service! With Delta's impressive growth, I'm not just whistling Dixie. The fact is the economy is booming and fiction, the economy is worse than ever before or growth is an illusion. That's my take !
